Quicklook: South Park: The Stick of Truth
Well, I got myself a birthday present already and payed pretty big for this new game, but after playing a while it is really worth the money. I’m not a bit South Park fan, didn’t see much episodes, but I always liked it.
So the game itself is an RPG but with a twist, and I like the twist. Breaks free from the standard genre stuff and presents it like it’s a cartoon. Like South Park itself.
So far enjoying myself, everything is gread about the game so you won’t hear my complain :-)
And, yeah, I actually got a picture of my dad with his eyes closed. haha
Quicklook: Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD
Played some Assassins’ Creed Liberation HD, liked it as I like all AC games :) This time you are a female that has the climbing skills. Graphics are a bit under par but still good. And the climbing and running hasn’t changed much so pretty ok.
Story is kick-started and the game is probably not that long, but that’s ok. I bought it for €5 @ Uplay so I don’t mind. Pick it up @ Steam when it is cheap.
Wizorb was a tiny game picked up sometime cheaply. It is a breakout game in the style of a JPRG. With your wizard stick (the bat) you have to defeat 50 or so levels with various monsters and bosses to finally beat the big guy at the end.
This game is about skill, and the first time I played it I didn’t have any. This was 2012 so I archived it. Having played Shufflepuck recently and having increased my skill greatly made me turn back to this little title. And it was good, and it was fun and faily easy to beat this time :)
Sound and graphics aren’t great but do the job. Story isn’t much, gameplay is good.
Funny how things run.
Quicklook: Nightmares from the deep: the cursed heart
Definitely one of the longest titles around, this game was part of a bundle and had cards to get to played it for some time. It’s a adventure/hidden game thing like there are a few around. Like it because it so casual although I couldn’t reach a certain case because the cursor wasn’t available and that was because it overlapped another game area. Perhaps in another resolution it will work, i’ll see in time.
It’s a pirate game, of some sort, where you are a librarian opening an exposition and showing the mean pirate above. Well, something definitely going to happen. Whan? I don’t know yet hahaha
This one is for the backlog.
New shizzling games since the last time I reported, with Paper Sorcerer, Raven Squad, Batman: Arkham Origins, Diablo 3 - Reapers of Souls, Hero Siege, Montagues mount, Starpoint Gemini 2, Star Trek D-A-C among others.
Star Trek and Raven Squad are removed games from Steam. Got 3 others also.
Quicklook: Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe
Bought this using a coupon, played it for cards and found it addictive. I really don’t like that shufflepuck thing but in this game it’s kinda funny and it also gets you your achievements rather quickly.
Music in the bar is really addictive and stays inside your head, as well as the furry creature. I don’t know why, but this particular scene reminds me of a Star Wars bar.
Anyway, graphics are ok, albeit a bit slow compared to the tablet version. Gameplay is nice and addictive due to small gains in a short time. Really a time spender (you play it longer than you wanted to…)
Sound is ok, not spectacular, music is addictive (that hall tune..), controls are a bit flaky expect when in the core game. Then they are pretty ok.
Overall fun game that you play more than you initially think you would.
Played some more Guise of the Wolf. Bad games that has me come back for more… why, you tell me. It’s interesting in some sort of way
